If do a search you will find that some of the members here have gotten replacement for under 10 bucks and I think that included shipping.

That will be a tidy little profit for someone, the motors cost £8/$13 here on this side of the pond and I seen to remember someone on the US side sourcing them for a similar price. I would suggest checking out the forum before buying at this price.

OK, you get the electrical connectors and instructions but I bet the markup on this is 200 - 300%. Still as Ivigil says, perhaps better than having to buy a new smoke generator!

Well spotted Ivigil.

Burden Sales Surplus Center Has a FYJ50-8 Syncro motor that is a hair thinner but works just fine. It's Part # 5-1564-A. RPM 6 120VAC 33.4 milli amps. 4 watts. 6.7 in-lb stall torque. I paid $ 3.99 US for them and thet mailed them for me instead of UPS or FED X. Last I checked they had about 80 in stock. Phone 1 800 488 3407

This is an old post and last I heard they were getting low. They might have gotten more in by now.
If you get in a real bind I might still have a one in the shop I could mail you. Good luck. I know there are other places out there but can't jog my memory just yet.

Just in case, I bought some extra motors some time ago, just to have some spares.  Just found the box in the back of my truck yesterday.  Unopened, and I hope I don't need to replace one, but took advantage of them being available at the time.  Given BS not having them available, I like being safe.

I tore mine apart & there was no motor at all! ???

Luckily, I salvaged the 15x12 glass tray from the bottom for a serving tray.

Ya think if next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non", they would mind?

Chez,

Did it rotate? If it did, has to be a motor somewhere.

If the glass is 12x15 it will not rotate because it is not round.
