Grinder tarnished

My wife accidently washed my grinders auger and meat tray in the dishwasher and it came out dark colored almost grey. Any ideas?

That happened to mine when I washed it with a mild bleach solution. Nothing wrong with it just a little darker.

Sounds like they are aluminum parts? Cream of tartar will clean them up
