BS611 can handle 2 elements (or 900 watt element) without PID?

I agree Digital unit not designed to handle a 900w heater. I did do the mod to 900w with PID and would not go back to the 500w, recovery temps and control are the best.

What about the non-digital smoker...

Less issue with the increased wattage of the element?
