This time of year with the wind and cold it can be hard to get the Bradley up to temp and keep it there.

I want to make a portable shelter/windbreak that I can put around it.

A chap I know who has a propane smoker made a portable shelter out of AMVIC "Silverboard". It is a foam type rigid insulation that comes in 4ft x 8ft sheets and has a reflective aluminum coating on both sides. It seems to work well for him.

I figure I can cut it into 4 pieces and just hold it in place with a bungee cord.

Has anyone else used this or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Before I got the Bradley, I used a Luhr Jensen Little Chief and used to put a large cardboard box around it this time of year. It worked well to keep the wind off and to get the unit up to temp.

Would appreciate your thoughts and input.

I have my obs in a small rubbermaid garden shed. I keep it there year round and have no trouble with temps. An added bonus is that it keeps the hungry critters away from the smoker. While it's not the cheapest way it's been well worth it for me.
