I was on a forum once where there was a huge argument that posts about post count should not count towards post count. :-)

Yes, one of the forums I regularly visit requires that someone must have a minimum of 100 posts before they can list anything for sale. If anyone appears to be making posts just to reach 100 the moderators will reset the person's post count to zero. :)
