Gun Smoke

Must the iPhone or iSmoke app must be inserted every time? Also, I do not think I have seen a Passcode yet? Thank you

Habanero Smoker

I don't have the Smart Smoker. I'm not sure what you mean by "inserted". Passcode depends on the type of phone you have, version of operating system that is on your phone, and the app itself. With my iPhone 8, pairing with Bluetooth devices are automictic with most devices I pair with. The software generates the code, and pairs the devices automatically. In most cases, the only thing I need to do is to confirms that I want to pair the devices. Once paired you shouldn't have to go through this process again; unless you delete the device from your phone, or sometimes upgrades in the operating system or app forces you to pair the devices again.

I found a few instructions on the Bradley site for
My app won't pair with the Bradley Smart Smoker.

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the Bradley iSmoke app.
  • Restart power on your phone and on the smoker.
  • Turn on your smoker first.
  • Press the Bluetooth® sign on the touch screen of the generator.
  • Open the app.
  • Enter the digits shown on the generator in the app and press OK.

You click the bluetooth icon on the screen of the smoker to get the passcode. You should only have to enter it once, unless you turn off the power to the smoker.
