Hey all, I am new here and have had an original Bradley for about a year and a half, my question is how long should it take the smoker to get back up to temp after putting the meat in??

Welcome to the forum jasona2144,
All depends on how much your putting in, how cold the meat is, the temperature in the location of your smoker, sometimes if these are not ideal it can take quite a while to come back.
You can do a few things such as hot water in the bisquette bowl, tin foiled covered bricks, running the smoke generator ( without bisquettes)., to help recover your temp faster.

Welcome aboard, just to add to Johhny's post also look at blocking wind if it is present, with the vent open it will suck the heat right out
