I have been smoking hard the past 6 months.. usually 3 times a week. No issues with temp as long as I can get out of the wind.. even when it's single digit temps I will just smoke in my garage near an open door or I have even put my smoker next to my truck to block the wind... sure it's hard to get it past 250 in the winter but you are smoking and I am always at 200 to 250 anyways. And mine seems to run hot. If I set it to 220 I get 240 to 250 temps.... haven't needed to mod anything, just need to block the wind. Doesn't seem to be as much of an issue this time of the year.. I have done deviled eggs, beef tenderloin a, prime rib, burgers, nuts, sweet corn and all have been flipping amazing!
