« on: September 11, 2017, 03:49:51 am »
pluged in new smoker actually replacement to old original.

could not get box temp above 150 F with controller on high.

briquttes did not get a complete burn before falling into water pan.

had to finish the pork butt in oven.

not happy

at this point the only reason i stayed w bradley was the smoke generator,

been thru to many bad thermostat. uneven heat issues.

considering sending back and trying a different smoker

Sounds like you element was not receiving power. Often when the smoker is new, the connections are hard to seat properly. Try unplugging, and plugging in the power cords at each connection. Do this several times

If that doesn't work try testing the element by plugging the smoker cabinet directly in the wall socket. This should be only a test to verify that the element does work. You will need a computer or monitor power cord for this. If the element doesn't work open the generator and check for loose connections.
