what's a good thing to spritz your brisket with when its smoking?

I just use apple juice but tend not to bother during the smoke nowadays as it means opening the smoker door and losing temperature which can take a fair while to get back up.

I do however give it a quick spray when it is finished just before wrapping and letting it sit a while.  :)

Apple juice works good for ribs, pork butts and brisket.

If you are in a cold area, for the Bradley you may not get much benefit from spritzing. As manxman mentioned; if you are in a cold area, opening and closing the door frequently will extend your cook time. If I spritz I hold off until the bark sets, and would use a mixture of apple juice and low sodium beef broth at a 1:1 ratio, or low sodium beef broth and apple cider vinegar 3:1 ratio. These days I use the Texas crutch, so I don't use a spritz. I do inject my brisket prior to smoking/cooking.
