Hi Folks, New to this forum and have an idea that works. Seems as though a few of us have looked at several ideas for using pellets in the smoker so i thought i would put this one forward.
It was an idea from a Chris Coogles on Hungry Onion site so i modified it (i didn"t punch holes with knife

)
Purchased 1oz Metal Steel Tin Flat Container with Tight Sealed Twist Screwtop Cover (12 Pack) SKU GB-42IM-PJX4 On Amazon, supplier Health And Beauty Products Online Store. They are slightly smaller than a puck but go through the auto feed perfectly.
MODIFICATION.. Drill a series of holes in lid and three into the side of base below lid (these allow for airflow) Do not forget to ensure all holes on outside are smooth to the feel so as not to catch anything.
Fill with .5 to .6 oz of pellets (which is same approx weight of normal puck,) Tin will be full, ensure that pellets are level with tin top, screw lid on and u are in business..
Hope this helps some of you, My test run was a success, Smoked chicken for supper
