This is a good price for Kobe brisket.  If your not fimiliar with Kobe beef look at this link. http://biggreenegg.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&num=1092942161

If you are fimiliar with Kobe beef you might want to give them a call.  They are in Texas so I know shipping may be prohibitive for some people who live so far away.  They ship fed-ex overnight.  You have to call fed-ex for a tenative price to your lo-cal.  Anyway my Labor Day should be outstanding.

If anyone out there has tried any Kobe product I'd love some feed back.

I heard about that girl who tried the Kobe beef in Colorado........[xx(]

Having been raised in Japan, definitely know how good the real Kobe beef is.  With the limitation on land for grazing, Cattle are beer fed and massaged.  The beef is, as they say on Saturday Night Live, like butter.  Our maid used to use it sparingly in Sukiyaki.  She was really a good cook.

I think we can take regular brisket, massage it with rub, smoke it carefully after a bit in the refrigerator, and come up with  something that tastes almost as good.

Paying 12x the amount for this beef seems a bit over the top. The last time I had somthing like Kobe Beef was at Morton's of Chicago, and the car dealer that sold me my Hummer H2 was buying.  As I recall, dinner for 2 was in excess of $150...we didn't have wine.  Pretty scary for a double Filet for the wife and a New York cut for me.  But damn!  Was it good!

There is room on earth for all God's creatures....right on my plate next to the mashed potatoes.

Sounds great- but considering the price I guess I'll stick to our good ol' home grown, grain fed, triple A, Manitoba black angus. We can't ship it to our friends south of the 49th anyways- so it's on sale! All because of one sick cow...[V]
