I recently was given a digital scale for a gift. It has really taken the guess work out of measuring amounts for smaller size batches. I know I will get a lot of use out of it. It weighs grams or ounces and will weigh up to 4.5 lbs. Hopefully it will last longer than my remote thermometer.(6 months)[:D]

I have a really nice scale that I got when I was in Weight Watchers.   Digital..very accurate and touch of a button converts to metric.  They are always seen for sale on Ebay, but you have to get the digital one.

Found a great set of Digital scales for a right price. I needed a set that would weigh over 10# and still be accurate to 0.1oz.. Also has 10 yr. warranty. cost with shipping less than $42.00... This company has hundreds of scales of all sizes and prices..  Bill

Bill,

Looks like some nice scales. I would recommend a 10 pound or larger to anyone still in need of one. My main objective was to be able to weigh grams for accuracy in measuring cure especially, and also spices. For weighing meat, I guess it will be in 5 pound increments for now.
I just purchased a tumbler and I had to put the jerky rack that I want onto the back burner for the time being.

If I was to get this one for the bathroom my wife would throw me out the door.... it is a talking scale LOL!

Talk to me Baby...Talk to me!

Now if I needed a scale I would get this one as there is no maximum temp of 86 degress F. In the summer time here my garage is in the 90s.

EDIT I just went and ordered this scale! My old one is like me Old~~!
