Max capacity in bradley for Salmon

I am trying to hunt down some good salmon for smoking (not the farm raised salmon) in the Bradley. I have the BDS 4. I was wondering how many pounds I can fit in there for smoking. I have a total of 8 bradley racks to max things out, but I was wondering how many pounds I can fit in there? I was thinking 8-10 pounds, but maybe more?

I did Kummock's salmon before and I ran into a problem when I shared it with the rest of the family (dumb mistake). Now they all want it :o

It might be mute point as it is very difficult to find Kings or reds out here in Calgary for a half decent price.

It depends on how big your pieces are, I had ~5lbs and it fit on 3 racks.

I would say you might be able to fit 12-14 lbs...

I'm w/ FLBR.....I average about 10-15 lbs doubling up on the racks in my OBS....that's bitesize pieces and arranging so that pieces don't touch....

Thanks for the information. Now I just need to find some of the "good" salmon!

I usually go with 12 or 13 lbs of fillet. Anything leftover when I'm filling the 8 racks, I dry a bit and grill it for dinner--very tasty!
