Interesting title to this thread I know but I am curious what type of wood is being used and for how long people here are putting smoke to their butts?
thanks.

Hickory for four hours is what I use
Adam
Hickory.........there is no substitute.
Hickory ...
Pretty much whatever I have on hand that I'm in the mood to try. Pork takes most woods well.

Ditto!
I have been using a lot of Pecan lately. Just did some butts with Pecan.
I started by furst butts bu rotating apple and hickory as I didn't want it too strong.
I have since changed to all hickory and I can't tell a difference.
Roll smoke for 4 hours
4 hr of Hicokry over here
The last few butts I've been using 4 hours of cherry.
My go to smoke for pork is pecan, until Bradley starts making peach bisquettes.
Hickory is my go to for everything. However Whiskey Oak was recently tried and wasn't bad. 4 hours on a big butt
Apple
4 Hrs, I've used and liked:
Apple
Cherry
Pecan
Oak
Hickory
and a mix of any 2 of the above.

I too wish we could get peach for the Bradley.
I live very close to many peach orchards and i really love pruning time :)
Depending on availability: Hickory, Hickory, or Hickory, in that order.
