Nepas Jerky

HR,

On my last batch I used my Foodsaver marinator. Liked it so much I went and bought another one. One was too small for 3.5lbs of jerky. I know that is way too small of a batch but I'm working up to larger batches as I perfect my technique.

Does it hold the vacuum and then you put it in the fridge?

Wouldn't it be nice if Foodsaver made one about 3 to 4 times bigger than that ?

Once the marinade cycle was done I left the container under a vacuum but next time I'm not. They make a 6qt canister that has the same type of valve on top. It has to be set on Open/Marinade during the marinade cycle.

I wonder if a fitting couldn't be 'modified' to take that vacuum hose adapter and mount it to, say, a smallish tight lid fitted igloo cooler..   You could marinate a ton of stuff in that.

I have not seen that one, going to have to check around again. All I found was the one you posted earlier.
