KyNola, I'm pretty sure PF changed locations... That pic was at the original - my dad (the little one there) is 74 now, and he was born upstairs in that building.  Then, PF moved to the Driver's Grocery you know - by the McCracken County courthouse - and my dad pretty much grew up there (they lived upstairs there too).  He delivered groceries all over the neighborhood with Perry and Jimmy - in a horse-drawn wagon.  If you look close at the left side of the picture, you can see PF had a panel truck, but they used a horse and wagon for deliveries for many years after that picture was taken.  Not sure why...  Nevertheless...  Try calling Kroger's today and see if they'll deliver ;-)

Thanks y'all for all the nice comments...
There's a "modern day" (funny) story with that picture too (and surely the reason MrC had a copy of that pic)

I always liked that picture, and a few years ago, I sent a digital pic to "CanvasOnDemand"
(add a .com and check it out - not spammin' - don't know 'em - just tellin' what I did)

I got three 2x3ft canvas pictures made from it - gave one to my dad, I kept one and gave one to my sister.
I had asked my sister to scan it for me for that purpose (she had a larger original than I did).
So, anyway, when I got it from her, it miraculously looked better.
She didn't like that the walls looked so bad, etc...
So, she PhotoShop'd it.

Uhhh... Sis.. I wanted it to look like it did.  It was depression era.
She huffed and puffed, and finally sent me the original scan.
Good thing I stopped her when I did.  Coulda ended up a "black tie affair"...

Awrighten.
