Title: shrimp in fridge
Post by: smokeNcanuck on February 07, 2010, 12:00:46 PM
Anyone know how long you can keep a shrimp ring in the fridge??
May have been a little drunk last night, thought I should have a super bowl party today
so I took a huge shrimp ring out of the freezer.  Lets just say today I may have lost that
party feeling. ;)  No way I can eat all this shrimp.

Will it keep till next weekend, having a party for sure!

It depends on how angry he is - he might get mad if left in too long.  ;D

No, I don't know, but think it would fall in the same category as fish - not too long.

Sounds like you bought it at the store and it probably has a "use by" date on it!

As long as it only been thawed for a short period of time, and if you fully thawed it in the refridgerator, it is safe to refreeze.

If you don't think you will eat it as a shrimp ring soon you can change it up by tossing them in a flying pan with a little butter, splash in a little alcohol, some garlic and then finish with some cream.  Now you can have it as a main or a side to another dish.
