We are supposed to get 4-8 inches by noon tomorrow. With my luck we will ONLY get the four inches. But since you have good luck on your side you'll most likely get the 8 inches. ;D ;D ;D You can take the new Jeep out and play. :)
We had a light rain off and on all day yesterday and over 4" of snow lastnight.
Still snowin here.
White knuckle run gettin home lastnight, wasnt bad comin in this morn.

Weird that we aren't getting the snow like you guys down south? EL NINO i guess
It has been a whacky winter, for sure!
Mrs
Heh heh we are so low on snow here that they are trucking snow into the local mountain for the Olympics. That is going to cost huge bags of cash. And to top it all off they are using a heavylift heli logging chopper to take the snow from the parking lot to where they freestylers will be performing. At $10,000 per hour it will cost us so much money that my grandkids will still be paying for it. When they talked about the getting the games they had a vote for yea or nah and the only ones that got to vote for them was Vancouver and Whistler(the ski resort own) none of the other municalitys got a say but the whole province gets to pay for them.
Not enough snow for the Winter Olympics? Holy cow-what a wierd winter this is turning out to be.....

It's very weird. My kid thought he was going away from the snow when he transferred to a school in Baltimore :D My husband has been teasing him all day.
I was BBQing and smoking in my shorts yesterday.........drinking ice cold beer.
Then again I do the same in a snow storm...........drink ice cold beer :D
Canada eh!

Here we are on Vancouver island and our local ski area is a 3 hour drive north up island. They have a snow base of 380 cm!! and yet across the strait in Vancouver where the Olympics are--nada! I think Whistler(where most but not all of the ski events are happening) is better than the local mountain above Vancouver where the boarding is happening.
T2
Don't you like how you didn't get to vote for or against it but you get to pay for it, Thanks GORDO!!!
We have around 10" and its still snowing. My wife tried to go to work this morning at 5am and she had to come home. The tracon and tower are still open.
24" so far and another 8"-10" by this afternoon. Not even going to be able to enjoy this one outside with my son and dog. They can't even move in it.
Sorry to hear that Guys. We got hit pretty hard last night as well I think 10-12 snowflakes hit my truck on the way to work.
Bryan and Rick, how do you guys always luck out and get snow? We only got 5-6 inches and now the sun is out, what a nice looking day! I got all my snow cleaned up now so I guess I'm done playing for the day.
Pens, does either of them have Power this morning? Sounds like things got ugly all over the place out there.
Well, 24" over the weekend now another 10"-18" by tomorrow. I think we will have some on the ground around here until April!
Should have just kept my mouth shut getting 6-10 right now and another blast this weekend. I dont know about the rest of you but I for one am ready to cut grass and sit at the picnic table while drinking a cold beer. Not to mention opening the doors and Punting the yardapes out into the back yard.

I'll be in AZ in March. Scottsdale and Crown King.
I wonder what is in season then?
I'll have to look it up when I get home tonight, but you ain't gone bag anything good in Scottsdale except maybe a girl or two.
10.5 I actually think Elk might be going on right now, but if you don't have a tag by now you might as well give it up. They're like gold.
FL - I'm not sure what your schedule is, but let me know if you need a tour guide - or if you want to get together. Scottsdale is only an hour away.

I was thinking Crown King.
Yeah supposed to get anywhere from 6 to 18"
I wanna move south ;D
We have got 6" on the ground in just three hours here and the heavy stuff isn't supposed to move in until tomorrow. I am so ready for summer!

Did you think you were safe south of the Mason-Dixon ?

Why they get more snow than we do anymore. ???
You're in luck 10.5, Elk archery only nonpermit tags (over the counter) hunt is going on from Jan 1 - Mar 31 for units 4A, 4B, 6A, 19A and 21. These are quite a ways north of me, but hey what's a few miles for an elk. I'm not sure if there are any tags left though. You'd have to contact game & fish.
FL - Depending on what unit and weapon of choice here's what's available. Mountain lion, elk, bear, tree squirrel, cottontail rabbit, coyote, skunk, fox, bobcat, ringtail, weasel, badger, sparrow, starling, coati, prairie dog, all mammals except game mammals. Of course most the big game animals require an application be submitted about 6 months ago.

Yep
They are all closed now.
I lived in Fremont for a few years back in the early 90's but that city has some major problems and I got the h*ll out.

We got about a foot and its blowing a lot. Still coming down. I had to take dad to the hospital this morning for eye surgery, when I got home, I cleaned the snow at my house then went to his house and cleaned it up there. Tomorrow morning I have to take him to the doctors office, then work/play in the snow all over again. It has been fun out there in the snow. :)
I measured 18" on the table on the deck. That was 2 hours ago and its still snowing.

Hey send some that snow up or way. In Vancouver we are hanging out at a balmy 48F with the Olympic Games starting in a few days. Oh well the athletes can get a sun tan at least... ;)
Yea its a weird winter. Nepas lives south of me and he has got more snow than we do. I'm ready for another foot of snow but Mother Nature is such a wimp it won't happen. ::) ;D

Tryin' to tick her (Mother Nature) off? Just askin'. If I was in better shape and not scared to death of falling if I slip on ice or snow, I'd be right there with ya yankin' on her chain askin' for more snow.
Shes scared of me, she won't do it. :P ;D
Do you remember that margarine commercial from years ago?
"It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!"
Watch it, Pens. That ice is NO JOKE!!!
Mrs
I ain't scarred of her. ;D ;D
