Here in eastern Nebraska I believe we have 32" on the ground so far.
Up to 6" is falling right now and their talking about 20" more next week. (According to their models). >:(
Suppose to be a big front coming in off the west coat.
Next couple of days the lows will be around -20f and highs of 0. Factor in the wind chill and that would make it -40 to -30f.
Global warming?
COOL, you guys have all the fun. ;D ;D ;D
I have about 6-8-inches on the ground. not sure if anymore is coming or not, I have not seen the forecast. BTW I'm in west central PA.
Wow, your weather channel uses models to do the weather. Cool. 8) 8) ;D ;D

Yeah.....some times they walk around with their fingers glued together.
Total within the last month we are at 8"
I believe our latest record for the season was 42".
Set back in 2003-2004.
I bet we beat that this year!
We have a couple on the ground, but 6" coming tonight/tomorrow AM w/ 35MPH winds.
It hasn't been much above 10 degrees since the holidays..
I walked out to the driveway start my car and it was 2 this morning - no wind.
I thought, briefly, hey this isn't so bad today... I need my head examined.
Plumbers and HVAC guys are making hay this week!
We don't have any snow as it whs been in the high 70's or low 80's for a long time - can't beat SoCal during the winter!
Al
Now it has been cold here (I figure some fool from up North brought down with him) We have no snow. Plus it is very warm in the sunshine. ;D

I'm in the same boat as tubbs and were running out of places to put all the snow.
I've went through 250 gal of propane sense the beginning of Nov. OUCH >:(

I heat my shop with waste oil and so far I've used 750 gal. since beginning of Nov.
I only have 800 gal. left :o
We probably have 6-8 on the ground. It snowed on and off for four days. This past Sunday was predicted as a coating to an inch. 4-5 inches later ...
It has been cold and windy. Predicted high of 31oF today. One comment I heard said the OBS is about the size of a dorm fridge. Well, it's out in the garage and ...
We only have about 10" on the ground right now.
More due on Friday.
I'm in the same boat as the Nebraskans. 30+ on the ground, expecting 6-10 today and tomorrow....along with Alaska temps. Heat wave supposedly coming next week for highs in the 20's though.

Bring on the 20's and no wind, that I can handle.
I live in Scotland and we can't usually compete with Canada and North America for depth of snow fall but we are doing pretty well this year, I would guess I have in excess of 2foot in the garden and more on the way. That is a lot for low level in Scotland.

Hot off the press.
I can't believe a tank heater in the pond is keeping up with -10f.

I think we've gotten negative 30 inches since the day I moved here.
Death Valley? lol
You must live way south....where I should be!
I could still see my grass until a couple of days ago
We have maybe had a couple of inches max so far
My 13.5 HP snow thrower is gathering dust but I am sure the snow will come sooner or later
We are just getting bone chilling cold

Cousin are you using your smoker for a fridge. >:( It better be for beer if you are. ;) ;D
I think we have about .00001 inches here in the last 30 years as it almost snowed once as in a few flakes came down but melted before it hit the ground. Now we did get hail a few times that actually covered the ground long enough to make it look like it snowed.
In the high 70s and low 80s this week. Brutal.

Thanks for the reminder cous. I'll have to get the beer out before I fire up the SG. Now, what the heck am I gonna do with all this beer ??? ???
Um gee .....let me think about that for around a fraction of a second. ;D ;D

If its in your garage you better drink it or get it the house.
I left some out in the smoke shed in a cooler Sun night and when I went out to the shed last night to get my bottle of JD the beer it the cooler was froze, not solid but damn close.
Gotta love it.
We are gonna get that Artic Blast here and I don't like it.
The low tonite is gonna be 39* and that is the high for tomorrow with 29* by sundown.
The low on Friday morn is 19* with a wind chill of 8*. High on Friday will be a balmy 29*.
and it stays that way till Sunday or Monday.
That is NOT suppose to happen here.
Still snowin here and now the wind is blowin it horizontal
Oh Boy the drive home is gonna be fun tonight.
Thanks for the reminder of an old saying Welcome to Nebraska, Iowa's Snow Fence
We are under a Winter Storm Warning from 6pm tonight until midnight tomorrow night. 6-10 inches of snow, High winds and Something about sub-zero cold. Like that is something new!!
Oh golly, sorry to hear it CRG. Maybe some smoked ice cream? It's almost pushing freezing here and from what I've read in other posts (eh?) that's pretty balmy.

Thanks CRG, I will be careful, its the other idiots out there that I have to watch out for.
Looks like it will be another 45 mph run in 4WD tonight, at least its less than 40 miles from here to my house. ::)

Similar Warning here. We're in the 6-8" range. Just a couple degrees warmer than 10.5. Same d*mn 35MPH wind gusts.
If the close schools tomorrow, I'm staying home (nothing I do is worth risking it out on a 30 mile commute to the office) and playing with my new Traeger! Better start thawing some critter out - just in case.

Yea it does.
If this storm is anything like the storm me had christmas day I wont be goin anywhere for around 3 days. Thats how long it took to get the roads opened up out by me. Glad I got the propane tank filled the other day.
Well I'm off into the great white tundra. :D
well no more snow here for a while
That neans I must grab a cold beverage from the fridge and head for the hot tub
Toughest part is standing in about 20 degree f emp and lifting the lid
But once you are in....
Its heaven
Heaven
Heaven
Until you run out of beer or your bladder fills
Some days I am not quite sure what will come first LOL
we have about 2 feet on the ground here so far. 2 winters ago we had over 14 feet the entire winter. Missed the all time record (winter of 71) by 6 inches.
Here I am with the snow blower in Feb 2008. I am 6'1" and the snow is higher than me. We got over 3 more feet in March after that.
holy white stuff Batman
Where in the world is that ?
I might have to move if you have ski hills
I'm in Ottawa,ON. We have a ski hill in the Gatineaus within 15 minutes of downtown. 2 hour drive to Tremblant. 3 hours to Whiteface in Lake Placid.
Huh My best buddy lives in Ottawa to. He down plays the snow there but I still laugh at him even though I wish we would get more of it here. I actually liked living in Prince George.

Unfortunately, it didn't pan out. They closed all the area schools
but the ones here in Springfield, (including MrsC's) So I came on in - just in case she has trouble out on the road getting here/home.
Looooonnngggg drive in.
For some reason they closed the schools here as well. I should go upstairs and take a look outside just to see how much snow we actually did get over night.

That curb on the right is my driveway. I am clearing the bank in front of my house. We have a good group of neighbors who all help each other with the snow clearing so the street alway looks better in front of our houses than the rest of the city.

I see...I thought maybe only Nebraska sucked. ;)
No complaints with our street crew. They do an excellent job. Only thing is, I haven't seen/heard the plows yet for this storm. Maybe tonight when the wind is done.
