This is my 5lb SS stuffer. Manual crank type. I have a larger 20lb stuffer but unless you have friends who can cut the casings, crank, tie and load the smoker its just way too much. The 5lb is much easier to operate if your a 1 person operation. I us a 8" SS 3/8" stuffing tube. Just go slow and easy and you wont have no stripped gears  ;D

I did buy mine from Northern Tool, but I would bet it is the same stuffer available many places under differant names. Nepa's is totally right in stating that with proper use you will not strip the nylon gears. It is just common sense that when you are stuffing, that you have a feel for the resistance of the process. I think that the people that have had problems have seen that  last quarter pound will not extract and try to force it. I just use the stuff on the bottom for Patty's.

I have the Grizzly, looks the same to me.

NEPAS or anyone else who knows:

Where do you get the food grade grease for the O ring and gears? Also where can I get a spare O ring, just in case something happens to this one?
TIA

Got mine from Northern, looks the same as those pictured. No model # on the unit, only an ITEM #168613 on my invoice. Paid $99.99. 110% refund would be great, but is it really exact???

I had a buddy of mine that knows how to weld stainless take a 12" stainless tube and weld it to a 1.5" diameter washer.  I haven't tried it yet, hopefully this weekend.
