Title: Ribs
Post by: Parends on November 23, 2012, 02:42:18 PM
I am currently cooking ribs and using the 3,2,1 theory and I preheated the smoker and placed the ribs in. The temp was down to 100 degrees and that was at 1pm. It is now 430 and the temp is only at 153. Any suggestions and when can I take them out to wrap in tin foil and apple juice for step 2. I would love to serve dinner tonight.
Thanks

The first question is to what temp did you preheat the smoker?  Second question, are you relying on the Bradley to monitor your temps?  If so, you may very well be getting inaccurate temp readings from the tower.  Third, how many pounds of ribs do you have in the smoker?

Too many variables to give you good advice.  Were I you, I would err on the side of caution and move those ribs to your house oven to finish until you have a better handle on how to use your smoker.  Not being critical.  We all went through a learning curve. ;)
