One way to type the degree "º" symbol

There are many ways to type a degree sign after a number.  i.e. 250ºF.  A quick and dirty way to do it on a PC is to make sure you have 'Num Lock' activated on your keyboard and then hold down the 'Alt' key while you hit the following keys:  0,1,8,6.  Release the Alt key and the degree sign will appear.

Cool!  Tried it on my Mac.  Turns out it's just alt and zero.  º See.
