Evening all,
After having some folks ask about a smoker's log for the Bradley and just passing on the one that is used at webber, Habs and I set out to create a smoker's log that was designed more for the Bradley. If anyone would like a copy of it, I have it in either a PDF or Excel version. If you would like a copy of it, just PM me with your e-mail address and I will gladly send a copy of it out to you. It serves as a pretty good record for beginners and us old folks alike. Sometimes, I forget how I did something when a smoke turned out real well and this really helps to keep things so I remember them.

I have a notebook I keep some notes in. It has a lot of mustard/BBQ sauce fingerprints.
What, no freeking ziti stains? And if you haven't watched Sopranos, that statement isn't very funny at all.
Marc
SD if you still have my Email fire off a .PDF copy for me if you would.
Thanks
Chris
Duck, me too! I might be able to turn that into a fillable form if it is not.
10.5,
Not really fair......you send me a blizzard and I send you a log ;D It's on it's way to you.
SS, shoot me a copy of your e-mail and it'll be on its way!

It was a good reason to stay off the roads and not go into work tonight. 30-35 mph winds should be getting here about 10pm. Hopefully the Freezing rain that started after the snow stopped will put enough of a crust on it that it wont blow around much. Forecasted high for tomorrow is -1 and heading south from there. Thanks for the log.
Marc is being modest. I have to give him sole responsibility for the log, and he did a good job developing it. If you have an existing log, you still may want to take a look at Marc's; it is specific to the Bradley Smoker.
Duck You saved me the time. I'd love a copy - pm me!
Shakespeare.
Shake,
PM me your e-mail address......I don't know how to attach things to a PM.
Thanks!

Well, you saw nonno's pasta sauce recipe card. You should see my copy of the Essentials of Italian Cooking.
You should see my copy of Giada's book.........on second thought, never mind ;D
I did see the recipe card......in fact, the folks are coming into town and I'm making it this weekend.
Marc
Wow, lots of responses for it. Hope it helps. Remember when you PM me, please specify whether you want the PDF or Excel file. Just makes it a little easier when I send them out.
SD
Thanks Marc, I got my copy. Looks pretty good.
You're very welcome 10.5. If someone asked for the Excel file and you could not open it because you have an earlier version of Excel than what I used, let me know and I can save it in the older format and re-send. Just let me know.
SD
Thanks, Marc. Got the file and it looks good. Thanks for your efforts.
Kevin
My pleasure, Kevin. I hope it helps!
Marc
To ease some of the burden off Marc, the files are now posted on the Recipe Site. The excel file is in a self-extracting zip file. If anyone has problems opening that file please let me know.

Thanks Duck!!
To all who've requested the log,
I hope you find it helps in some small way. To be honest though, Habs is being way too modest of his role in putting this together. His help has been invaluable, as all of you know, whenever Habs helps with a problem or finding a way to do things better. So, my hat is off to Habs! Thanks, Habs!
Marc
Got it Duck, thanks! It occurs to me that when I asked for the file I didn't even identify myself, sorry not rude, just back to that head thing again.
No problem at all, SS.
Marc
Hey Giggles...can I email you my address?
Sure, LQ....my e-mail address is
[email protected]. Feel free to e-mail me anything ;D
I still haven't found a way to email jerky :D ;D
nepas
When you do, you'll be a kajillionaire! ;D
You have to have a license for MeatZip version 8.0.L
;D
Re MeatZip
Dang!
And I thought when it said "Invalid Path" that meant that i hadn't paid for drinks!
Giggles...I don't care what this thread is about....I want a puppy!!! :D
Not to be a thread-breaker I'm with LQ! I have puppy fever myself after looking at your pics!
I'll let you both borrow mine until you have it house broken and sleeping through the night. A baby is less problems than the little mongrel. ;D
Of course I will be missing the puppy getting chased around by the adult lab. My daughter went out of town this past week so her lab has been schooling the youngster on proper energy expenditures.

Me too!!!! ;D
Well, you wouldn't want the smell that's emenating from my garage right now. They may be big piles of fur right now but they're also big piles of pooping fur. These pups are eating me out of house and home and I'm going through cedar chips like WTS goes through mesquite bisquettes! I must have about $400 wrapped up in these little bundles of joy right now. But, it's all good. They sure are cute little buggers. Everytime I go in there, they all like to chew on my pant legs. I feel like the giant in that tale about Ninevah. :o ;D
Those are cute little poopers...there is no other way to say it.... ;D
Thanks for sending off a copy of the log, Marc.

The file can be downloaded from the recipe site. I no longer have a copy on my computer.
Could you please post a link to the smokers log? I went to the recipe page and did a search for smokers log and it could not find anything.
Thanks

The log can be found here http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?t=560
Thanks for the link.

Can someone tell me what the log is for before I download it. My puter runs so slow that I don't like to download things I won't use much.
Q
It's a log to document all the variables of a particular smoke.
Kinda a fill in the blanks type of page a person can use on each smoke so you can repeat it or make improvements next time.
Mike
Well H E Double Hockey Sticks I could use that. I can remember past.. what was I saying...who am I... why am I hitting these little black things in front of me.
Do you just print it out and use it as a hard copy or do you fill it out on the comp and keep it in a file?
There's 2 copies of it that you can download. One copy is a pdf file that you can print out and writ on it. The other is an excel spreadsheet version. I assume this one could be completed on your computer and do a "save as" so you always have the original. These are just assumptions as I haven't really used it.
Mike
Ah, this comp won't handle putting excel on it. It would bog down worse than it already is. Someday I will be able to buy a new one, someday.
Mike is correct in his description of the files.
The PDF file is ≈69kb, and the excel file is ≈81kb. I'll add the file size to the front page.
"Q" I will print some out at work for you and drop them off when I pick up the starter.
Ross
Thanks ross, I can print stuff, I just e-mail it to my kid and she prints it. But when she moves away I will have a printer but no way to use it. I was hoping I could do it on the puter and keep it in a file but without excel I am out of luck. But I will use the ones you bring for sure.

You can use openoffice, it is free, and will read/write excel files.
Oh I ahve never heard of it. I will look for it. Thanks FLB
Google Docs (all web-based) will read/write excel/word files as well.
You just have to sign up with them, but they offer a ton of storage up front for free.
If you need help importing something into their interface, let me know..
Thanks also squirt. I will.
