Title: Question about foil
Post by: watchdog56 on May 03, 2009, 07:20:40 AM
I see in the owners manual it says not to use aluminum foil in a 4 rack DBS. Why do some people say you can use foil to cover racks or to catch drippings?

WD56,
It is perfectly OK to wrap your food in foil and place in the smoker.  You do not want to wrap an entire rack or drip pan with it as it will impede the heat and smoke from rising properly and can also cause the drippings to go somewhere other than in the bowl and cause a grease fire in the smoker.
