Post by: Up In Smoke on May 04, 2009, 04:10:55 PM
I wanted some slaw dogs today but didn't have any buns...
here is what i came up with.

grilled hot dogs, split one in half longways placed it on some roasted red peppers
topped with amish slaw and shredded cheddar.

Yum!
Can never have enough roasted red peppers in one's life as far as I'm concerned.
What is Amish Slaw?

i have to admit that the slaw is store bought.
the ingredients for amish slaw are basically the same as any other slaw,
but it is chopped rather than shredded, and is a little drier than your typical
BBQ slaw.
drier meaning that it does not run all over the plate like most slaws.
and it stays on top of your weenie, and doesn't soak your buns near as much!! ;D
Yeah Yeah Yeah! I'm not even going there. We could have a lot of fun with that one!  :D ;D ::)
