Title: No smoke
Post by: Vaison on May 24, 2009, 02:41:26 PM
I plugged in my DBS for the first time this season and I am not getting smoke.  The oven works, the display works, the pucks are getting pushed through, but are not burned.  I checked out a few other topics about this and unplugged/replugged all connections...same result.  Any ideas?  I had to cook a brisket for Memorial Day party.  After much bragging about it beforehand, I had to show up with a nice juicy unsmoked brisket.   :'(

You need to take the smoke gen apart and check for loose wires going to the puck burner.  Brian may be able to post some pictures of the proper wiring for you to check but just a casual review of the connections may reveal the culprit.

Okay.  I will give it a shot.  I hope I don't break anything in the process.  Thanks.

Shouldn't be a problem.  They are pretty rugged and is usually one of the suggestions Brian from Bradley would offer.
