Title: New member question on pucks
Post by: mikecorn.1 on June 18, 2009, 10:43:33 AM
I live in a very small town and the only place to get pucks is going to be at the local Academy. Can anyone guide me as to where the good deals are online for pucks. My DBS is coming in today via UPS and the only pucks they had at Academy was apple. I have roamed the forums and I see that you are able to get variety packs and some even post that you can get great deals online. Perfect timing, the DBS is coming today, my day off. Anxiously waiting on the UPS driver to come to the door and I can take it out and start the seasoning process. Thanks in advance for any help.     Green Newbee  ;D

Also check out Amazon they sometimes have 4for3 pricing with free shipping. I have not found a better deal than that. BTW, I have zero places in my area where I can walk in a purchase them so I have to buy online all the time. There are a couple Bradley dealers in the forum here and both are great people to deal with.

I'm pretty sure you can site-to-store almost everything at wal-mart as well.  They won't have any in store, but they do online and the shipping to the store is free.  From what i saw, the prices were pretty darn competitive.

Not trying to raise any feathers but i would stay away from the Wal Marts, in my opinion they are the ruination of the small town local stores, again only my opinion. I live in Nova Scotia, in the Annapolis Valley area and find it hard to get the variety of bisquettes, i have looked on the internet and find West Coast Sausage to be very competitive in price. I will most likely be ordering from him in the next week or so.

I'm no math wizard but my calculator on the Amazon.com deal says about 28 cents (US) per puck versus 37 cents per puck at the ebay store deal.
The only drawback to the Amazon deal is catching them with your preferred flavors.

Good job catching them with an almost complete selection.
I've noticed that the apple is available, from Amazon, and gets the 4 for 3 deal but is not shown as part of the normal location.
I keep waiting for them to add the mesquite then it's order time!!!

Yeah, i got mesquite, apple, pecan and maple. good deal, arrived fairly quick even with their free super saver shipping. was surprised. last time i ordered my maverick et-73 with the free shipping, it took a month to arrive.
