Title: New Smoker - Seasoning Question

Just set up my new smoker and I am about to go through the seasoning process.  How many times should I run through this process before I start smoking food?  Many thanks.

instructions only say once. that is all i did for mine. after that is all ok. it just takes away that new smell inside the smoker.

It says once but I did mine twice, not sure if it made any differance though.

Welcome ISWT. Your in good company here. Lot's of good people with great advice. Keep the vent open, preheat the smoker and let the smoke roll. For ribs, try the tutorial from 10. 5 http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?t=581

I could not imagine running my BDS twice empty ;D..........once was bad enough!
