Title: Birthday Trifle

4 layers of dark chocolate cake, raspberries,   pastry cream & whipped cream with raspberry preserves

I love trifle. My wife soaks the angel food cake pieces in schnaps. ;)

DEB!!!!!! Where was that at the smokeout! I know no one else would have eaten any but I gladly would have taken it home with me.  ;D

that sounds good.  I'll have to try that sometime.

The cake had simple syrup w/ Chambord brushed on....

My hubby uses a sweet sherry in his trifle...it's killer....

Fine.  Yet another culinary confection that I get to enjoy vicariously through you people in the eastern portion of this country.
That looks awesome!  I may have to borrow that recipe in case I am called upon to make dessert this coming holiday season......
