Title: Santa Fe Fries
Post by: car54 on February 13, 2005, 09:37:35 PM
In the Milwaukee, Wi area I was able to get Santa Fe Fries at a number of food stores but all the stores have switched to Ore-ida brand. It was a waffle cut potato with a light coating of corn meal. They tasted and smelled great. I did a web search and was unable to find the manufacturer or a recipe. Can any of you give me a lead or a recipe?

Thanks, Brad

Sorry Brad I just check all of my food sites and no go [:(] If it was just a simple waffle cut pototoe than dried milk (water added) would hold the corn meal to the potatoe.  A lot of place use this...if it does not stick then add a egg to the milk.
