Title: Briskit N Beans
Post by: NePaSmoKer on July 25, 2009, 09:50:18 AM
Every year my neighbors mom and sister have a large pig roast/party/drinking family thing. Around 150 family and friends. This year we are making some smoked briskit and bbq beans kicked up with Country Bobs Hot N Spicey sauce, apple pie and some homemade salsa.

Here is the briskit n beans. Briskit from the one i smoked yesterday

I will post pics of the salsa later.

Now if you add some cubed up Hab's Canadian Bacon to that bean brew and let it gurgle a while with some fine chopped onions. Beans are just so great for mixing leftover smoked meats that you have vac sealed and chucked in the freezer. Baked beans, Black Eyed Peas. White Beans, Red Beans or the 5 bean mix I tried a couple of times. Beans can even rejuvenate smoke smoked  meats that might have a little too much cooking. But then again I forgot that the pork gods dumped 300 pounds of pork on your front door!  ;D
