Man what some messed up weather out there

Got earthquakes in Alaska, tornadoes over by squirtthecat and we had some good thunder storms move through that took a tree down back by my shop, didnt hit anything though.

Hope every one else around is as lucky as i was

We had a shaker?!?!?  Didn't feel a thing and I certainly should have felt a 5.2 in Anchorage! Going after Silvers and Flatties tomorrow so glad it didn't shake my house down!

Ya know what kummok...we get them all the time here (not 5.2's) but we have only felt 2 in 10 years...one a roller (was kinda like being on a boat out at sea)...one a shaker...the shaker with the big jolt at the end was a little scary...but...we live 10 miles from the San Andreas fault...as Yogi would say..."it is what it is"!!!! ;D

Didn't even know we had one until i read about it in the paper this morning.  My wife said she felt a little tremor at work.

We've had the second flood of the season on the Kenai River - other than the floods and volcano it's been a fantastic summer!

Hey LQ,
Were you there for the Landers quake?  I think it was 1992 or around there.  We were living in Moreno Valley at the time and that was the biggest quake I ever felt in my 30 years of living in CA.  I think it was a 7.5 or something.
It was early in the morning and my husband jumped out of bed and I thought he was going to stand under the door way but he ran to the living room to hold on to his moose head that was hanging in there! :D :D :D :D So much concern for something that is already dead! :D

Nah...didn't move to Cali until 1996...this was like a 5.6 or something...but it scared the crap outta us...that jolt was quite frightening...but having been a builder (of which my own home is one of them) I ran around when( I cleaned up the pee in my pants) to look for cracks...NONE...but earthquakes are scary chit....I grew up in Florida...you can run from a hurricane...I'd akin an eathquake to a tornado...seems like they just happen...at least with tornados you can hide underground...but an earthquake is just freakin scary crap... >:(
