one of my hobbies is I raise a breed of dogs called Alapaha Blueblood Bulldogs. They were the orig working bullies before thet started smashing the noses and shorting them. I have 1 to 2 litters a year. Great with kids and family very loyal.

Wow!  What a beautiful dog! Do they ever produce harlequin coloring?
I used to breed and show harlequin Great Danes and never have seen such high contrast in the merle coloration.
The background gray was never that light, so pretty!

Caroyln, they use callahoula in the line and it is just really starting to show up on a regular basis. My stud is about 100 lbs white with blue merle patches. his eyes are tri colored, white, blue, and a sand color. This is. one of his sons.

We just keep looking at him, he's so striking!
So they are a pretty good sized dogs, how tall are they at the withers?
Sorry about all the questions!  I'm just really impressed :D

CRG,
That is a beautiful dog.  I am a big fan of bulldogs but have never seen your breed before.  Just amazing.

sorry for delay in reply, I have gotten lost on this site everytime i have came on. find myself going in a different direction trying to read all i have missed.
Carolyn, the standard for the breed is Males, 75 to 95 lbs, withers 22-26, females are smaller....60 to 70 lbs. My stud is actually 91 lbs weight him today at vet
and is 24 1/2 at withers. I breed more toward what they call the "sport" look, which is the original plantation  or otto breed. I like a dog that can run a mile and still breathe.
I co-own the dog I posted, sister. I will find a pic of her on this messy desk top. Awesome, lighter variations with twin blue eyes. hope to mate her in dec if i can find the mr perfect stud. The pool registery was closed only in '79. I don't inline or breed back so it takes some work finding what i want. We just got a new female from Cali that is blue merle with a glass eye, spunky little girl. Will post her pic soon too. My smoker is arriving tomorrow (26th)...geez. Just in time to win smackdownIII.

No! Have tried it?
I do know someone that cooks up the chicken feet but I've never tried it myself :P
I just processed some roaster chickens that dressed out between 7-8 pounds and they had HUGE feet, I should cooked up a batch. :D

This is our latest addition to our Alapaha family. She is a cutie. I had her shipped from California. She is 4 1/2 months old and weighs 40 lbs.
I think she is gonna be long and tall. We call her Ms Ellie after JR's mother from the old series Dallas.
