??? ???
FLBR,
I was wondering the same thing. Hope all is going well with his family and him.
KyNola
He moved to Mich. and said things are starting to look better, not sure if that means he's got job possibilities or not. He did say he was going to stop in here soon to catch up with everyone. I'll let him know you were asking about him.
Thanks for the update Pens!

Agree... thanks~~!
You guys must be awfully bored if you miss me :P
Pens is correct. I'm now a resident of Holland, MI. The sheriff sold my house on August 26th, so it became imperative to find new housing and while I seriously considered living in a van down by the river, my wife was dead set against that. ;)
The bad news: I lost the house, busted my giblets moving everything out of said house and because we couldn't afford the high deposit they required for pets in our condo, I had to get rid of our cats (well, that wasn't THAT bad ;D) and my precious Steeler :'(
The good news is we are in a condo that is really nice, our kids start at a new school after labor day, my wife got a job up here with a $6000/yr raise and I started my first day of work at a factory. It's not a great job as it only pays $8/hr and it's boring as hell and I truly believe they would teach a monkey to do the job but a monkey wouldn't accept $8/hr ;D However, $8/hr is way better than $0/hr so it'll do for now until I can find something that would challenge me a bit more than this.
I do hope to be on much more regularly these days now that life has somewhat settled and to be frank, I just didn't want to bring the forum down with my sad lot in life. You guys are always #1 in my eyes and didn't want anyone to be bummed out because of my troubles. Hopefully, this will be the start on the road to recovery for me and my family! Thanks for all the kind thoughts and messages!

Hazel is what my walleye calls your walleye ;D ;D ;D
:D :D :D ;D
At least you didn't loose your sense of humor! ;D
I was out last weekend and we got 32 "eyes". Mostly in the 2 to 3 lb range but we did get about a half dozen in the 5 to 6 lb range. We are just heading into the time of year that you start to get some of the biggins...
Mike
Those 2-3 pounders are the best eating! Now, I'm jealous of you! Hope you saved some for the frying pan!
Good to hear from you Duck!
I hope things turn around for you.
Bummer about Steeler.
How far did you have to move ?
Hi Marc,
Glad to hear from you.
You can never depress us ;)
Take care!
Carolyn
Hey Marc!
Good to hear your voice (although typed)! Hang in there buddy, things are bound to get better. Sorry to hear about Steeler, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes!
C
Thanks all.....the move was only about 110 miles north. Not far and it puts us about 10 minutes from my wife's Grandmother, which makes her very happy!
Hey Marc,
Glad to know you are all safe and sound. Jan and I are so sorry for your misfortunes but we know you will be fine.
Larry and Jan
PLEASE tell me that you have a plan in place to get Steeler back when the time is right and you can have her!!! I doubt you would have brought anyone down Marc. I would have offered to put Steeler up for you, still have all my lab stuff and he's been gone for a year.
On to better things Glad to here everyone is working and looking forward to school. Kinda quiet around here without your humor around.
Hi Marc;
Glad to hear everyone is fine. Good seeing you post again.
Hey Marc,
Good to see your funny butt back. I'm glad things are starting to look up.
Sorry about Steeler, wish you would have let me known, she definately would have had a home here. The boys need a little shaking up. Always room on the Ark for a lab. ;) :)
Thanks guys........I hope to be around a lot more and am trying to get caught up with all of the posts and awesome food I've missed. It is really overwhelming as I want to make sure I catch every one of the awesome, mouth-watering things you guys continue to do. You guys are awesome!
Marc,
Glad you and your family had a safe move and are getting settled in.
Bryan
Thanks Bryan......still getting acclimated with a 4 am wake up call with the new job but otherwise, things are starting to look up (well, still have to find a better job, but that'll happen sooner or later)
All the best, paisan. Good thoughts and good food can do a lot for a person.
Good to see ya posting again Marc. PM me when you can and let me know if your number is still the same.
Pat and Ann
P.S. Anything we can do to get Steeler back for you or keep her up here til things change?
Just give us a holler buddy.
Hey Ice.....PM sent
An update: After a week on the job, they gave me a promotion to the hardest and worst transfer press in the plant. No one wants to work on it because it's harder than most, breaks down more than most and has a history of a man being killed by it. So, they had the bright idea of taking a guy with no experience whatsoever and putting him on it. To be fair though, I had learned the other presses faster than what they were training me, so I didn't mind a new challenge. Of course, they didn't raise my pay any and moved my shift from 5:30 am to 2 pm to 4:00 am - 2pm. If I was working in a union, I'd be making over $30/hr but as it stands now, I'm still only making $8/hr. Between work and taking care of the kids, I find little time for the internet or anything else but do come on and read. Haven't had time to smoke anything at all yet but have found the best place to buy my meats now so hope that changes soon. I'm too old for this crap at 43! :'(
