Title: Brisket question
Post by: BC Smokin' on August 30, 2009, 04:00:42 PM
I live in BC Canada, and our stores do not have cuts of meat that are marked brisket. What should I look for? Anyone have any idea? I am from Texas, so do know what it should look like, but have never seen anything here like it. I know there are Canadians on this forum, maybe they can help me. Thanks all,
Nancy

Welcome smokehouse

I live in Ontario and have to purchase my briskets from a butcher. He has to order it in for me but when I receive it, it is vac packed.

Hi Nancy and welcome to the forum.

I live in Saskatchewan and feel your pain....  ::)

As Lumpy indicated I have found a butcher that knows what I want and I just order whole packer briskets from him. I would just talk to a few butchers until you find one that knows what your looking for.
