I have a pork but in my fridge with a dry rub on it how long is the max for cure ??? in the fridge before it goes bad?? :'(
and gets too strong............
Meat was from safeway have no idea how long they had it except it was on there cutting table the morning I bought it.
I'm confused... are you curing a butt to make bacon or just putting a rub on it to make pulled pork ?

I put a Rub for pulled pork and was supose to smoke it for sat. but have to wait now for monday dinner to eat it.
It should be fine.
I've had to do that when something came up.
As long as the meat does not have a foul odor, smoke on!

I have a 8 lb butt, time to smoke it, I would guess 18 hrs at 195* ?? ( I haven't smoked sinced last year)
Back to the drawing board ( I wonder if this is like ridding a Bike , never forget yeah right.....)

I smoke then cook to 195-200F IT.
you are right....For just one butt that mght be a little long...... last butt I smoked were 4 8 lbs each
How long would you guess at 195' for a single 8 lb piece??
I's say 8-10 hours or so.
