Its amazing what these guys can walk away from now.
I am more of a cup stock car fan and I am constantly amazed at what these guys walk away from.
Its the crashes like Dale Srn's that seem so harmless yet turn out to be fatal that I have trouble
understanding.
I drove one of these cars at Las Vegas Motor Speedway at 140 mph and all I could think about near
the end of the run was if I would live if I wrecked.
It was not nearly as scary as jumping solo from a plane at 3800 feet with nothing but a parachute to save me from becoming as flat as a pancake.
These cars are scary scary beasts...
We had that very one at the office when they first unveiled it, and they fired it up out front with our company's founder behind the wheel. (it was jacked off of of the ground) He gave it a few good revs up past 10,000 RPM for the TV cameras.
Set off the car alarms all around us.
