SMOKE AND SPICE by Cheryl and Bill Jamison is a good recipe book for low and slow cooking.

Ok this might just speak to my level but when I started out last year the BBQ sauces rubs and marinades for Dummies really helped me out. It gives alot of the basic background to how smoking works what spices and ingrediants can compliment each other and so on.
I own a few other good books that were already mentioned and i get ideas when I visit borders or barnes and noble by browsing the cooking section. I have even been known to use my cellphone to photograph recipes. But thats just between us.
