Title: Best jerky ( not spice)
Post by: Quarlow on October 09, 2009, 08:51:39 PM
Ok folks I am looking for the best jerky recipe. I like honey, garlic or teriyaki. Not spice at all, the little woman/wombat don't like spicey. So any link or recipe would be appreciated. I have a 2.4 kilo(about 5 1/3 lbs) eye of round.

The only link I can have for you is to PM Nepas, 10.5 or any of the other jerky trade lords.

Well, he came on as "really Big Stick". Posted on a bunch of posts Threw a bunch of brag pic's on to one of the pic postes, did a whole bunch of shooting people down, swearing his face off and then quietly got booted off without a word said that he had to leave. What an a'hole.

I don't mind people that brag, cause you can read the post or not, but to just be rude.........I don't know. He really hates Texas.

Thanks CRG and Q. I missed it again. Some how I knew he is not going to go gracefully and was actually gonna go on the attack this time if he returned, but I guess I am lucky that I am 7 hours ahead of EST or EDST and did have to stoop to his level.

I did see on the local pictures thread a mention from KH on his BS returning but looked through the entire thread and could not find any thing to that effect. I guess it was removed already. Some people just dont know when to quit and I suspect he would still be back.

I'm sure by now he has found a loop hole around post/joining

Many years ago I had an ascii art room and the program we used was P E R C H....
kept having one guy come back starting trouble, had to go as far as ban the server he was on,
which cause someothers not to be able to come to my room.

You know what CRG, I don't think those were his pics. I think he got them of from some where. A man like the one in the posts is outdoorsy, healthy and too busy to torment people on a forum. I think the person we are dealing with he is an introvert, sick and demented individual with seriously serious issues.

Well I have seen alot of braggers and they are usually jerks. My dad had a friend that was like that. He bought a 30-06 remington pump rifle one time brand new and he boasted about that gun till the day he sold it to my dad. Then he got his latest and greatest gun and then the 06 was the biggest piece of junk he ever owned. Putting it down for jamming all the time and he could never get the scope to site in good. Well I took that gun and used it alot. It only jammed when we were target shooting and tried to pump it to fast, other than that it was bullet proof "pun intended" and as for the scope once I sited it in properly anyone could shoot the nuts off a gnat at whatever distance they chose. So one day we were at the range siting in his new gun cause hecouldn't hit anything with it. So i asked him to do atest with the 06 so that we could have somethingfor reference. Well he popped a couple of shots with it and bullseyed with both shots. Then Isaid try your new gun and lets see were it's at. That gun was shooting around corners. I played with the scope for awhile and took a couple shots from the rest and he goes see you don't know what you are doing(because he was the only man in the world that could site a gun) but what he didn't know was that I had aimed at other than the bullseye. This way when he took his sots he would hit the center and really feel good about himself. I didn't say anything to him but later told my dad about it. He just chuckled to himself and punched me in the arm lightly. You don't know how much I wanted to set that thing up so he would never hit a thing and then knowing where it was shooting hit the center with each shot while he could hit nothing. It's ok we can go on about anything we want cause this is my post. so let it fly. haha I read that threw after I posted so I had too modify it hehehe good one HR.

I think tomorrow I am going to reverse sear some t-bones on the Traeger, smoke some fresh (store bought) sausage and boudain on the bradley.
Make some syracuse potatoes, red lobster cheddar biscuits, and steam some veggies.

Hey Q, can I give you an old country recipe for a cold.

You take some lemons (4 or 5 would do), dice them up to small pieces and put them in a pot Skin and all. Fill the pot with water just to cover the lemon by 1". Bring them to a boil and keep them there for about 5 minutes. Pour them in  a glass, through a strainer and squeeze the life out of those lemons (be careful they would be hot). The taste is going to be very sour and bitter. Let them drink it hot and right before they go to bed and cover them with a heavy blanket and let them sweat it out.

If they can not tolerate the taste add enough honey...no sugar. Some times when I do it, it is accompanied with continuous sneezing some times not. But I would 80% better the next morning.
