Title: Boss asked me to do this!

Boss or his wife have a friend opening a restaurant tonight.  Asked me to carve them a pumpkin, not my best effort, but did not have much time.

I think you missed your calling........you should be selling your art instead of whatever you've chosen for your profession (or at least do sell the art on the side).  Great job.

Darn you Caney, last time I tried to carve a pumpkin, they couldn't even make a pie out of it let alone a work of art!!!

Carney, I'm envious of people like you.  Your pix and the pumpkin are terrific.  I'm one of the artistically challenged types that has trouble drawing a line with a ruler.  Thanks for your posts.

Did this one for the fly shop - one of the guys there we have knicknamed Grumpy.  This one was my pumpkin depiction of grumpiness!

filet knife, paring knife, 1 1/2" bench chisel, and x-acto router blades.  I don't get my good stuff out for these!

You really should not have asked!  These are a couple of reject big gaudy flies from an artist project i do every year a little before Christmas.  The better ones were sold at auction for charity.  I tie a lot of smaller ones, but did not have time to set up to do macros  They aren't as colorful!

It's the only one of this bunch that was tied for fishing - sort of a shad imitation for throwing at Stripers.  The rest are just for bored Stepford Wives to buy for their husband as Christmas gifts.

A nice display of artistry there Caney. They may only be for the "Stepford Wives" but they sure do look good!!
