Title: 1st Non-ABT Jals
Post by: JoeHifi on November 07, 2009, 12:59:12 PM
Topped some Js. Don't know if they'd 'splode if you didn't.
Smoked with four pecan pucks @ 200 'till the Js looked like they had been pickled.

Mixed with raw onion

and minced garlic in oil.

(edit added picture)

They are going to get to know one another for a few days before the next step.

Made J corn bread with this smoked pepper mix.

Smoke flavored J cornbread.

More stuff planned... so far I haven't had the time.

That sounds good Joe. Maybe some of your jala sauce and whole kernel corn in the corn bread.

What type and number of Bradley pucks would suggest for the cheese?

Finally got around to making some more ABTs.

I mixed some of my smoked jalapeno (Hal In Pain, Yo)  mixture with cream cheese (um cream cheese).

De-veined and seeded some jalapeno peppers.
(http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/396/img0493rp.th.jpg) (http://img24.imageshack.us/i/img0493rp.jpg/)
Filled with cream cheese mixture. Topped with a piece of
bacon.

Smoking as I type this with five pucks of pecan @ 225.

The cheese mixture is fantastic by itself. And I know ABTs are good. So this should rock.
