I killed these two Big ones and a couple of smaller ones.
I'm not forsure how many shots it took, But I know it was a bunch.

It does not make a difference how many shots it took. What matters is that you got the job done.
HR
I really like the one on your left.
Is that Winchester model 70 you are holding?
Remington 700 BDL

That was my second guess, they look so much alike, I have a model 70, love it
Reminds me of "back in the day" when I used to put trophies like those of my own memorable shots on the wall (although mine were usually from Scottish or Mexican species). Unfortunately I ran out of wall space and had to move...
Four times...
In one year.
I have toooo many guns and is hard sometimes to decide what to not shoot.
I saw some nice deer, just didn't pull the trigger. They changed things up here
in Texas and if you get a keeper buck, that is it. The next has to be a trash buck.
They are in full rut and probably will be for week or two. There was two shot opening
morning. (one by a guy who never went to bed, lol) Both nice 8's.

Yeah, where is the brandy? El Presidente has been good to me at deer camp, as far as I can remember that is.
This was my opening weekend shots.

That was a nice hunt. I was hunting........hunting for a place to lay down.
I had a busy weekend.
Friday nite we had deep fried battered marinaded pork chops (boneless)
Rum marinaded backstrap
And a whole bunch of Whiskey.
Sat afternoon hunt I finally pulled the trigger and it was a tough decission.
I had three does and two bucks come out on my longest lane amnd they finally worked their way down to my food plot.
They must be starting the second rut cause the two bucks started fighting right in front of me.
I thought I was watching the outdoor channel.
One was a lone horn big body spike and the other was an 9 point with about a 15 inch spread.
I ground checked the spike. and it field dressed at 115 lbs.
He was 4 1/2 yrs old and was a bad seed to have running around.
Sunday morn I got another hog.
Great weekend.

Two years ago I had to do the same thing, seen a big fork horn 2 years in a row that kept pushing the better looking bucks out of the breading grounds.
Dropped him and the next day, field dressed at 180 lb. The next day or two when looking for a doe there was some nice looking bucks back in there. Gotta do what you gotta do to keep the herd looking good.
Good to here you got some meat on the table, the deer and the pig.
We hardly ever get a buck that gets close to field dress weight of 140.
And that 9 point is gonna be a horse next year, unless I see him again. ;D

Nice thing about living in the corn belt, nice size deer.
Hope you get a shot at that 9 pointer.
How many more days do you have left to hunt? Its gotta be getting close to the end of season by now.

Sweet, sounds like you have many more trips back to deer camp.
We get the whole month of Dec. to hunt with the big smoke stick.
regular season is over Jan 3rd.
Sounds like a great weekend!!
took a pic with my cell and had no memory card in. trying to figure how to transfer to memory card and I will post the pic.

Looks like you were ready! nepahunter!
I hate to say it, nepas (I don't really but I was trying to be polite), but the bottom pic makes you look more like a Muppet (albeit an armed Muppet) than a killer of wild beasts.
Oh wait, I get it... look nonthreatening enough and lure the beasts close enough to kill. Clever!
If I had to be in the woods at 4:45, I would never go hunting.
I get up at 5:30, drink a cup of coffee and put on my shorts and flip flops, take a ride on 4 wheeler and am in stand by 6:00.
I don't know, he looks pretty threatening to me... I wouldn't want to see him standing in my front yard at 4:45 in the morning. :o

Speaking of Muppets, I was watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and realized Kermit was lip-synching. Who knew?

I had heard he use to be a member of Milli Vanilli.
I thought Kermit was one of the Cowsills...???
First the Cowsills, then Milli Vanilli.... you are right.
