Title: Free Shipping
Post by: begolf25 on November 13, 2009, 11:19:36 AM
Just wanted to let everyone know we are currently running a Free Shipping promo for the holidays. Spend at least $50 and get free ground shipping to the lower 48 states. As always, thank you to all of the forum members for your support and kind words.

I'd settle for free shipping through the states and then pay for the canada part.

Quarlow--here in Victoria we have an outfit called Seawings International. If I buy stuff in the states I get it shipped to their address in Blaine. They notify me and put it on one of their  flights to the island. I then go out to the airport and do the customs legwork myself(takes about 10 minutes). This method saves on the ripoff UPS "brokerage fee" from the States, which and be a bundle. I'll bet there is similar outfits running to the mainland.

Q

I also have a similar service. I shop for whatever in the States and even Canada, UK and Singapore and have the items addressed to their addresses and they transport it to Jordan and even do all the customs work if necessary.

Great service with one draw back, they do not ship liquids and thus could not ship the CT sauce through them.

I use to use a service like that in Abbotsford, Letterlock was the company.
Also if you phone a place in Sumas called Ship Happens or Parcel Express
they are both places that you can have your parcels shipped to and then go down
and pick them up. Letterlock takes care of al of it for you for a fee. Maybe we
should look at doing a order together for those of us in the LML for some screens
from Yard and Pool.

Do they open your packages to know a liquid product is being shipped to you?

Have you ever tried Vac sealing the bottle in case of breakage?

Or is it just a problem with some thing liquidy being shipped to Jordan?

CRG they do open the packages in NYC to check on "certain" goods. For some stupid reason they would not allow liquids although I have to admit that a few slipped by them.

I wish they would accept the liquids vac packed but it would still be to much to ask the seller States side to do it. I tried several times to have the seller gift wrapped with "Have a happy birthday" thing on it and it worked.  ;)

Ordered my goodies, finally got the Maverick since Nu-Temp never sent me theirs. Bought both the ET-73 and the ET-7. Going to love cooking outside sitting in my house with 115 degree outside temps.
