IF YOU GO INTO ENGLAND ILLEGALLY, YOU ARE IMMEDIATELY JAILED AND
DEPORTED........

IF YOU CROSS THE IRANIAN BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU ARE DETAINED
INDEFINITELY....

BUT,  IF YOU CROSS THE U.S. .. BORDER ILLEGALLY YOU GET:

          1.  A DRIVERS LICENSE
          2.  A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
          3.  WELFARE

As Mike Huckabee said "...it's time to flush the toilet in Washington and get some fresh water in there".

If more people would take this issue seriously, then we would have a big change in D.C.  But a lot of folks just thinks it's not their problem or we can't do a thing about it.  :-\

You may or may not agree with the likes of  Rush, Sean or Mark Levin but at least you get more of the truth.

I'm waiting for the D.C. guys to take over all the Smokers, grills and any other cooking machines and say they don't meet fed regulations for *clean air*!

Laugh now, but they said that the government would not take over the auto industries and look where Chrysler and G.M are right now!

Sorry just my 2 cents,

They've tried in a few places, but couldn't write the code so that fireplaces, and things such as that would be exempt.  It might be coming!

You know how good those bread factories are when they are cooking?  I have a small one I pass on most days - and boy does it smell good.  Well guess what?  That good smell is causing Al Gore to get richer.

"The process of fermentation of sugars in bread
produces carbon dioxide (that makes the bread rise) and ethanol
(alcohol). The amount of alcohol formed is relatively small but the
conditions in the oven cause it to be lost as alcohol vapor. This is
part of the aroma that you smell when bread bakes. This poses no real
health risk but large bakeries that produce a substantial amount of
ethanol vapour can cause local air pollution by the action of sunlight
on the mixture of air and the ethanol vapor in the vicinity. This
reaction is similar to the photochemical smog that forms from unburnt
hydrocarbon emissions around cars etc. One of the possible products of
these types of reaction is ozone, a secondary pollutant."

And on that flimsy theory, there was a push around here to "clean" up that dirty ole fresh bread smell.  But when it was mentioned that the price of bread may go up to $85, it was, at least temporarily dropped.  We are a redneck state aren't we.  Heck, even the Gores profitted from tobacco growing and the subsidies connected with it.  That doesn't cause pollution or other problems do it?  Oh and we won't mention the zinc mine on his family place that pollutes the ground water the soil and probably my home flyfishing river.  Zinc that's good for curing colds isn't it?

I remember decades ago driving across the Oakland Bay Bridge and near San Francisco you'd get this fantastic smell of roasting coffee.  It was marvelous.  Well, the air pollution people shut that down - now all you smell is car exhaust.  Same for sour dough bread bakeries in SF.  That was a real crock of something that doesn't smell so nice.

Sorry there is the extreme right and the extreme left. I don't blindly follow either camp. Those that do IMO are sure to trip over their own beliefs.

Oldman, I agree, if you blindly follow any group, you'll wind up wishing you stayed on the porch.

However, that said...  Almost nothing that congress has done lately is constitutional.
The founders warned us (sternly) about the kind of leaders we have today, and the destruction of liberty that they desire.

I'm an American patriot that believes in the constitution, and proud of it.
Not the new "living constitution".  The old one.

I reckon that means "extreme right".  So be it.  God bless America.  Awrighten.

I agree... there is a lot of what is going on that does not sit right with me. I think of my daughter and granddaughter and I see red in many areas.

There was a time when I did not have health insurance. My daughter (then 3) almost died from lack of care. Today in the paper was a study of how folks are treated in the ER. Those with insurance faired far better than those that did not have insurance.

Now before someone jumps on me allow me to say that the cost of a national health insurance really sets me back. I don't see how we can really afford it. On the other hand last year our company's health insurance went up 15% and this year 18.7%! I'm scratching my A$$ trying to figure out where the money will come from for the next increase.

Also as of next year 2010 my unemployment insurance will increase at a minimum of 12 fold!  Some companies will face 30 plus fold plus in cost.

Where is this money going to come from?

We are in serious trouble.  I  do not believe for one second that the right or left has any idea or answer to solve these problems.

We need some real problem solvers.  Down to earth people with a soul for their American brothers and not any more bought and paid for politicions.

Oldman,

I hear ya...  It's tough to see all the problems folks are having, and have to fear that same people who are always instrumental in creating them are gonna "solve" some more...  God help us all...

We hear horror stories up here about people losing their houses south of the border because a family member has come down with a terminal or long term disease or has had a debilitating accident. I don't how much is true and how much is media hype.
