Title: Christmas Jerky
Post by: NePaSmoKer on December 01, 2009, 08:57:31 AM
Well its that time again and both of my sons have to spend time away for Christmas  :-\  All they want is jerky so today i opted not to go hunting and do 22 lbs of jerky. Going to send 11 lbs to Ramadi Iraq and 11 lbs to somewhere in Afgn  ???

I will do a total of 32 racks today.

Cold smoking the first half of the 11 lbs

It looks like the heating rod is at a full glow don't it  ;D

It looks that way because of the flash of my camera. Weird optical illusion.

squirt did you check out my ? on the 12 rack under accessories? Just wondering what people thought.

Nepas, I went to Menard's and picked up everything to make mine a 12 rack (except the racks,I have 4 jerky racks so I would have to only get 4 more) and it only cost me $15. A lot cheaper than the $38 for the kit just a little more time involved in cutting everything

It won't be bad,  large flat rate APO box is $11.95.  I bet you can stuff alot of jerky in one of those boxes.

Looks great Nepas!

No more than shipping to the states. Items going for the troops go to NY APO address first then onto the unit where your soldier is at in the sand.
