Title: Reheating Turkey
Post by: pfowl01 on December 06, 2009, 12:13:02 PM
Hello everyone,
Was wondering if anyone has any tips on reheating a turkey so as not to dry it out? Should I use some kind of boat method with some kind of liquid in the pan at around 250ish? I'm open to some suggestions....

I would do what FBR suggested in the other post.

Stop the smoking/cooking at an IT of 160 and then reheat till you get an it of 165 to 170.

Make sure you get a IT temp in the thigh area and the deepest part of the breast.

Those birds looked great!
I'm not going to be able to cook the turkey and bring it right away....I'll  have to refrigerate it for some time before I reheat it.

How long did it take to bring them back up to temperature?  165?
