Title: Meat smoke'n day
Post by: jeepersjeep on December 07, 2009, 01:42:33 PM
Hey I'm a new guy here and thought I'd let you see what I'm up to. Hope you enjoy.

Decided today to be lazy and do whatever I want. So me and the dog agreed on smoking some ribs.

Cleaned the Bradley out.

Headed off to the store.

What I ended up buying. This was the only ribs they had. I guess everyone has the same idea.

Rubbed the ribs down and loaded them up.

Time to kill so we walked down and checked on the chickens.

Everyones ok and was rewarded with an egg.

I was so hungry I decided to boil some hot links.

White bread and mustard.

Went to check on the temp and noticed my wood pile was a little short.

Nice pics and grub!

I noticed in one pic that your top vent looks closed.

I wouldn't do that - it can cause moisture to build up in your box and the smoke will condense and drip icky black goo on your food.

It will also cause smoke to backup into your smoke generator and destroy it eventually.

I'm already getting great tips!
Thanks!

Yes it did backup a little on me. You can see it on top of the ribs. I just cut it off and ate.

Thanks! ;D

Yeah jeepers you should almost never have the vent close more than half way, especially with chicken you want it wide open for all the moisture that comes from it. Another thing and this might be what you like but I always resize my pics to 320x240, it doesn't make you bugeyed when you look at them. But that is just my opinion on pics.
