tom,
Welcome aboard[8D].  There are tons of recipes on the board just search for brisket to begin the research.  Are you cooking a packer or just a flat?  Mostly I do just the flats.  I sprinkle the whole thing with rub, wrap it in plastic wrap overnight in the fridge.  Take it out 2 hours or so before your ready to cook.  Preheat smoker for about an hour on high.  Place brisket on top shelf with top vent about 1/3 open.  Push the advance on the smoke gen. 3 times and let it rip with 4 hrs of your favorite wood.  Temp should settle at around 225°f for the cook.  You will have to adjust the slider bar to acomplish this.  Remove old pucks after all smoke stops.  Empty refill bowl and re-insert.  When brisket is at 185°f remove from smoker do the FTC(foil, towel, cooler)let it rest for 2 hours slice and enjoy[:D].  Ask away with any more questions you have.
