Title: First Brats
Post by: oakville smoker on December 20, 2009, 03:20:23 PM
Got the Brat kit out yesterday that came from Hlaford in Edmonton
Dragged out my old ratio caculator brain cells from high schook as I was only going to try this with about 6 pounds of meat
Mixed 4 punds of butts with 2 pounds of  a sirloin roast I had in the freezer
Overall it went very well except there is really a need to get the stuffer lower than the kitchen counter
I felt like I had been in a fight or something once it was done

I contemplated adding some cure and smoking them, might do that next time

I also cranked out some garlic sausage.  thelook the same as the brats do no pics of those

Those look great OS!
I felt like I had been in a fight after using a stuffer on my KA mixer.
